Intimacy, developed by Studio Roosegaarde and V2_Lab, is a project that straddles the world of fashion, wearables and the electronic arts, while exploring the relation between technology and intimacy in contemporary tech-society. The project consists of high-tech garments made with wireless, interactive technologies and smart foils, which can become transparent.

The International Symposium on Electronic Art is one of the most important festivals for digital and electronic art. Being one of the projects of RUHR.2010 European Capital of Culture, the symposium will be held in Germany for the first time this year! At several venues in the cities of Dortmund, Essen and Duisburg, the festival presents current works and debates in Media Art worldwide. To that end, international artists and scholars will meet in the Ruhr metropolitan area. Wiring is both a programming environment and an electronics prototyping input/output board for exploring the electronic arts and tangible media. It can also be used to teach and learn computer programming and prototyping with electronics. It illustrates the concept of programming with electronics and the physical realm of hardware control which are necessary to explore physical interaction design and tangible media aspects in the design and arts disciplines. The Wiring software and the hardware designs of the Wiring electronic input/output board are freely available for download on the Web. Users have access to the Wiring electronic input/output board as well.
