Styleborg is a weblog devoted to wearable technology, design fashion and culture. The site was launched in August 2003 to enable me to keep track of current happenings in the field of wearable computing and to express some of my thoughts on the design of new wearable products.

Today the Swedish School of Textiles has developed into a national and international resource centre. TapTap is a wearable haptic system that allows nurturing human touch to be recorded, broadcast and played back for emotional therapy. Haptic input/output modules in a convenient modular scarf provide affectionate touch that can be personalized. We present a working prototype informed by a pilot study.

Welcome to the Textile Futures website! The site uses a collaborative platform created and regularly updated by the staff and students of the MA Design for Textile Futures at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London, UK.

We seek to make Kaunas biennial TEXTILE the most significant event for contemporary textile art in Europe, which reflects analytically the art processes currently taking place all over the world, by bringing up the priorities of creative collaboration, openness and democratic relationships in the processes of art creation and its perception. Kaunas Biennial is a platform and a real opportunity for - artists’ debates and the realisation of innovative ideas, - collaboration among artists and visitors, - the enhancement of the sense of community through creative activities, - interdisciplinary artistic and academic practices, - international and intercontinental partnerships and - the creation of a discursive textile culture.
